Oceanside is in northern san diego county. The beach is less than a 2 minute walk from our front door and has excellent surfing, clean sand, life guards in the summer and beach patrol. You can see the blue water of the ocean and boats going by from our garden view deck but you cannot see the whitewater or the sand. Within a 35 mile radius you will find legoland, sea world, the wild animal park, the san diego zoo, balboa park, padres baseball, chargers football, the del mar race track, the gas lamp district (jazz and other music clubs and restaurants), tijuana mexico, the san diego airport and more (a small airport with limited service is located about 12 miles away in carlsbad). The amtrak station is approximately one mile. Within a 90 mile radius you will find disneyland, knott's berry farm, universal studios, dodger stadium, anaheim stadium, lakers basketball, the queen mary, hollywood, santa anita race track, and more as well as los angeles international airport, burbank airport and john wayne (orange county) airport.
